Before my niece left to go back to college from Christmas break, we made this cake for her to take back to a friend.  She drove all the way from Arkansas to New York with this cake, and it made it all the way there with no problems.

Been awhile since I posted anything. Life has been busy and cakes have kind of taken the back burner. Here’s the beach cake I did for my sweet Emma. I will be doing more in the future because what is life without a good cake?

I hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays. I had a great time with family and friends. I got married on New Years Eve, and of course I did my own cake. Thank goodness for helpers or I would never have gotten it done with everything that was going on.

How many black cats crossed your path last night? Just one crossed mine – he tried to hypnotize me with his eyes, but I managed to avert my attention elsewhere and save myself. I know he wanted me to keep him but unfortunately I couldn’t as I’m allergic to cats. I gave him to my friend for her birthday and horror of all horror’s, she ate him!!

Did these for a baby shower, they match her bedding that she picked out for the baby’s room. Too Cute!

Ever heard of Skillet? No – not the frying pan. The Band. Well, me either until I got the request to do this birthday cake. I checked them out on youtube. Great band – I’m actually gonna buy their cd from itunes. I enjoyed making this cake, I love painting on them. So much more fun that cutting out shapes.
